Tanner Goes snowboarding

Well that little stunt was supposed to be a staged and i wasnt supposed to get hurt but guess what happend
I blew out my ACL in my right knee, this is what it look like
gross huh there is supposed to be tissue all through there.

so i had to get ACL replacement if i wanted to run or even walk again without falling over. so i got sign up for it i went with Allografting which is where they take tissue from a cadaver (person that is no longer with us ) and use that rather than using my own tissue from my hamstring this lessen the healing time.

so it was go time

after the surgery i had to have this brace on so i couldnt bend the knee i will tell after that i didnt want to bend it it was throbbing once the morphine wore off.

Here is what it should look like witha ACL tissue after the allografting , by the way it is held in by screws in the bone

Tori the lovely Girlfriend she is got me this recliner just so i could be comfortable awwww love you as you can roxy was enjoying it.

I had a alot a of down time because it was going to be 6 weeks untill i am 100 % so i thought i would teach Kaleb a few things one being how to properly use a the ipod touch

after that i got sick of yelling for him so i got him a phone and i taught him to text

started growing a stink beard have since shaved because well...it started to stink

i have been going to physical therapy where they basicly make me do these awfull exercises that hurt and say trust us it for you healing ...liars the best part is the ice down

oh one cool thing i got to actually use the scooter at walmart and i wasn't faking it to just use it

So the knee is healing nicely it has been 3 week Tues 6/2/09 i have 3 more to go I can bend 96 degrees now and trust me it is so nice to get that at least.
im still hobbling around on a a crutch here and there but i still get out to get these awesome shots

oh yeah one other thing i forgot to tell you about the night before the surgery Roxy was MIA for a awhile and finally showed up about 8 pm with these in her face

mind you this is the second time she has done this and the forst time i was able to get them all myself this time not so lucky so needless to say a trip to the vet after hours gave a nice $280 vet bill added to tanners stupidity of $18,000 ACL replacement was not cool. i guess hers was cheaper though.......live and learn...if your not living your just dying. well i will keep you posted the next stunt Tanner does it will involve pillows for sure lol

Weight loss update

Of course as anyone who checks out my profile you have seen i have been hiking lately which i can't thank my sister Nicole enough for getting me into it. Kaleb loves the ride lol tongue out and all
It's a perfect time of year for it.
But i also have been hitting the heavy bag and learning to box by video here is a little video of my progress.

40 lbs no tricks just a good diet and good exercise, with no gym membership. until next time...................

I love how i stay healthy, don't drink, don't smoke, I exercise, and im falling apart.
I am having a cat scan done Monday the Doc thinks I might have Diverticulitis. I'm not sure if I hope its that or another kidney stone. ill keep whoever still reads these posted.

12 miles took me an hour not to bad the friggin hills were a bitch but all in all it felt pretty good.

although this helped a bit

my memory foam seat it cost more than the bike lol.

Camp Shityourpants

Here is a letter i wrote the State about one of their campsites we stayed at recently.

My Family and I recently stayed at the Cole creek campground on Friday Aug 8 - Sun Aug 11 unfortunately we had a terrible experience and that I can't chalk up to "well that's camping." My whole family every year gets sites all together. This year my site was 9 my mother's was 10 and my uncle's was 11. Saturday afternoon some people had showed up at site 5. These camp goers were very intoxicated and swearing ever other word out of their mouths also a fist fight broke out causing one person to hide in our camp site. This scared my children so badly, between my mothers camp and mine we had my 4 kids and my 2 nieces witness this altercation. I called the state troopers and told them, and then the Park police arrived. While the park police was there the owner of the camper loudly was screaming he was going to kill that guy (refereeing to the drunken man that was starting the fight) and still swearing loudly. The park police was there for about an hour not once did he exit his vehicle and also we were never question as to what had happened. The state troopers arrived a half hour after I had called and she never questioned us to see what had happened. After everything was done and all officers were gone for some reason the campers were not asked to leave. Were awakening many times in the night from the campers screaming swear words and smashing things at the camper. Also the bathrooms were lock at all facilities from 11pm – 8 am with no explanation I walked my daughter through the whole park looking for a restroom when ultimately she did not make it and messed herself. No notice was given about this and also no signs were posted. My wife and I went to the offices prior to leaving to see if maybe we can have an explanation as to why all of this had been handle so badly and was given no explanation. We asked for at least one nights refund since this all transpired on one night, something to make us use this facility again next year (maybe). We were scoffed at. I am very unhappy I know we will not be coming back, next year we are definitely going to a more private campground, because apparently the state does not care what happens at their facilities. I would like to give a great big thanks to Coles creek camp grounds for giving me the opportunity to try and explain to my 8, 5, and 4 year old what a "Cock sucker mother fucker" is, this being what the gentleman you let stay shaouted all night after the altercation.

...............so it's pretty sad that we have such people that are drucken idoits in fact the one that owned the camp who didnt start the fight said stuff to his kids like your so f ing stupid you f-ing piece of shit. It so sad to see this hey asshole dont have kids if your just going to hate them. i guess i could see a bright side if that guy was a dead beat dad. cause i dont see an upside to having him in thier life.

so thanks for Nothing Cole Creek Ill be camping else where next year.

My friend Adrienne found a story in Yahoo news about this guy in New Hampshire that started a Old School PE program that get people 21 and up together and play old gym class games ie:

Hey everyone recently I got the Wii Fit, for those of you that don’t know this is a simulation interactive work out device and program for the Wii.

Wii Fit Challenge

Here is a little blurb on it-

So Now that I have my Wii fit its time to see if it works and god knows I need it. I have put on a bit of weight from not smoking and eating like a pig when tori was pregnant she had the baby i still havent. now that im one year not smoking its time to get back in shape.

Day ONE:

Now I get my weight and BMI checked. This mother fucking thing had the balls to say this to me. I have to hand it to Wii to just be blunt about it.

So now that its told to my face that im a fat ass its time to change that lets get started. i will admit this thing actully made me sweat and even the strenghth training was a work out here is a shot of a lunge exercise

So the first day i spent and hour working out on the wii fit. I really hope this work out it saves time and money going to a gym and a lot of you parents out there can atest that it's not that easy to just run to the gym whenever you want. Tori thinks im crazy for posting these but here it goes my day one pictures

I was out of touch there for a bit my power supply on my pc went CaPoot I think that's how you spell that. Well lets see what's new well the deck is almost completely done I am finishing the paint so that the new and old decks match well pics coming soon.

Work is going great go a pretty good bump in pay not complaining there

well in closing I think I will leave with this to ponder...... a friend is someone that can help you out when you have nothing left to give, a friend is someone who can let you make the bad decisions and then say I told you so after the fact, a friend is still a friend even though life is changing and they are not, friends are accepting for everything they are not. A friend will call you and always call back.

I have thought about this for awhile now about friend ship and how sometimes you really don't know people when they wear a disguise for most of their life hide themselves behind addiction and seclusion. It's about letting someone else in to see the real you. I just wish I could have seen some friends I have lost the real person. If you don't have an explanation why you are no longer friends you were never really friends at all.

Chapter one needs more dialogue

It was Aug 12 a Friday….I remember this because it wasn’t Friday 13 which most to be believes as the worst day. This is the day that set me on the road of change. I had to drive home after what she had asked of me while I was at work….. A separation. As I pulled in to the drive way only to get a few things for the night I couldn’t pull my self from the vehicle I exploded with such pain in my heart. Everything just poured out tears pain pleading cause frankly seeing my daughter there made it worse I would have done anything to stay…..but she would not let me she wanted out. I’m still not sure exactly why. In fact for a while I blamed only her and now I only blame me. Don’t feel sorry for me. I am just a person with Flaws and doubts just like anyone. This is about my road of reckless heart ache that I only broke myself time and time again.

First thing I thought of just like any man would is make this pain go away make it not hurt and what do we do that makes it feel better sleep with someone. And I did... only to find that it didn’t make me feel very good at all. I was determined to find love that’s right just to prove that I could do it and that I was a good person I know bad start huh. Well my journey for love started with the unorthodox way 2 people that had just broken up get hooked up. I needed a place to stay and Melissa was recently out one looser of a boyfriend it was time for some fresh meat…..me. I moved to her place about 3 weeks after the separation happened it was better then crashing from house to house but thanks to Adrienne and nick for a lot of those nights but your couch did suck…. I know don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Melissa and I were roommates …just roommates, we both said we were not going to over step those boundaries of just roommates…………until week number two came and our inner evil angels said fuck it. This is where things get fuzzy and weird now we are roommates that are having sex… are we a couple? I thought maybe I mean we had people come over and played cards with us we acted like a couple but when I actually said out loud... so are we going to try this out you and I? She regrettably said no she was still in love with looser boy. I got mad and upset and left and we resolved those issues and became friends and even roommates later on for a while. She went back to looser boy on and off. We had couple more “just roommates’ sex” there after. You may ask do I feel sorry about doing that to this other guy…. No not really and this is why. She was broken up with him at the time of every time we did anything and further more I don’t like him and I have it on good authority that he did sleep with my ex while he was broken up with Melissa so no I don’t feel bad …did I sink to his level ……….yeah a little but that just goes back to the beginning I have flaws like everyone else.
